you are likely correct. Its easy to project one game at a time, but hockey tends to be streaky and momentum is a huge factor that is hard to account for.. It doesn't have Philly gettign points in every game. Straight up losses to the Caps and Blues.

Ek, I don't see how you can predict that the Pens will win the division, over both the Capitals and Islanders. The Pens have two games left against Carolina, who are fighting for a playoff position, and two games left against Nashville which promise to be brutal games. Anything can happen. Sure, they can come out on top but I would give it less than a 50% chance.

the point being that, that result alone should tell you that there is serious flaw in the programing model to have any team going up to a .950 winning percentage over15%f the schedule. it may happen on occasion but to predict it in advance for any team is ridiculous
